The ARC LIGHT Initiative For Black Brands Is Back

Applications are now open for the second time to independent Black-owned skincare brands for the “ARC LIGHT” initiative by Leading Swiss Professional Sun Care brand, Ultrasun and skincare brand SkinSense By Abi Cleeve.

The initiative is designed to support both Black Skincare brands and aspiring Black skin care brand creators, whether they are fully fledged or in their early stages. “ARC LIGHT” launched in 2020 and runs every 18 months and it offers an independent Black Skincare business or an individual at the concept/ideas stage of a future skincare brand, access to a suite of free business support assets over 18 months to create a tailored support plan.

This includes the following:

  • Idea stage support

  • Distribution and warehousing

  • Marketing and PR quarterly advice and support sessions

  • Quarterly retail strategy support and advice from Abi Cleeve, Founder Ultrasun UK and SkinSense.

Every 18 months, a brand or individual is selected, with the prior recipient offered continued support relative to their ongoing needs, allowing the number of businesses benefiting from ARC LIGHT to accumulate.

A short list will be interviewed and a brand or individual selected by the ARC LIGHT panel which consists of Lynda Daboh, Content Creator & Brand Consultant, Abi Cleeve, Founder Ultrasun UK and skinSense and Ronke Adeyemi, Founder Brown Beauty Talk.
