What's In My Makeup Bag - Sue Omar

Sue Omar is a freelance journalist and self confessed beauty junkie who is a bit of a fitness fanatic. She has worked for glossy magazines such as Pride and Spell where she specialised in fashion and of course beauty. She has also been lucky enough to interview the likes of Beverley Knight, A*M*E and Dionne Bromfield, She took time out to show us what’s in her makeup bag. Describe the items in your makeup bag. MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC45, MAC Studio Fix Concealer in NC42, MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo, MAC Lipstick in Half n Half, MAC Lipstick in Snob, MAC Powder Blush in Raizin, Sigma Beauty Powder Brush, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze, Tom Ford Lipstick in Violet Fatale, Tom Ford Eye Shadow Quad in Titanium Smoke, GOSH Velvet Touch Lip Liner in Raspberry Dream, Rimmel London Glam Eyes Liquid Liner and Bodhi & Birch Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil.

I’m a bit of a beauty hoarder, so the items that I keep in my makeup bag are forever changing. Lately, I’ve been using Bohdi & Birch Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil prep and prime my skin for makeup application. MAC skin products never fail to smooth out my base which is why I swear by the brand’s Studio Fix Foundation range.

Most working days I tend to leave my house looking like Plain Jane and spruce up my makeup on the tube (yes –I’m that girl!). That’s why I like to carry products in my makeup bag that will help whip up a multitude of looks on-the-go. When it comes to lipsticks, I never leave the house without my favourite MAC shades which currently include Half n Half, Snob and the classic Ruby Woo red. My current go-to palette for smoky eyes is this gorgeous Tom Ford Quad in Titanium Smoke which I like to partner up my fail-safe Rimmel London Glam Eyes Liquid Liner to create a sassy feline flick.

Which is your favourite item in your makeup bag? This is a tough question. I would have to say that the most cherished item in my makeup bag is my MAC Studio Fix Concealer. It’s great for covering up dark circles, contouring my cheekbones and cleaning up my lippie for a flawless pout. What’s not to love?

Where did you get your makeup bag from? My makeup bag came with my Carol Joy London Beauty Bar Travel Set. I just love the black quilted finish and the gold zip details – very luxurious.
