What's In My Makeup Bag - Isa Lavahun
Isa Lavahun is a Digital Marketing and PR Consultant who has worked with some of the biggest brands out there; from Marks and Spencer, LK Bennett, McArther Glen and London City Airport. She is currently working with several beauty clients devising their PR strategies. A keen traveller she is also a bit of a fashionista and shows off her different styles on her blog, Where Did You Buy That. She took time out to show me what's in her makeup bag. Describe the items in your makeup bag My makeup bag looks like a MAC commercial but I can’t help it, I love their products for dark skin. If I were to pick out the key things I use on a daily basis they would have to be: The JoJoba Company Hydrating Day Cream - This cream is amazing for dry skin and I love the tightening effect it has on my face. I’ve been using it for about a month now and my skin feels like it’s got a lot more elasticity and collagen so love using it as my base moisturiser MAC Prep and Prime Skin – Can’t go wrong with MAC Prep and Prime. Definitely makes my makeup last longer and stops it from getting that greasy look later in the day Murine Bright and Moist Eyes – One of my little beauty secrets. These drops are amazing for brightening and whitening up my eyes before I apply eye makeup. MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder – This is great for when I do my contour and highlighting as it sets my makeup without adding another layer of colour. It's really light and silky too. Benefit they’re Real Mascara – The only mascara that manages to bring my short, fine lashes to life. Couldn’t live without it Other products in my makeup bag include: MAC Prolong Wear Concealer (NW0), MAC Studio Fix Foundation SPF15 (NW50), Sleek Superior Cover Pressed Powder, MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector, LOLA Fixing Powder (does the similar thing to Ben Nye Banana Powder), L’Oreal Double Extension Mascara, MAC Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15 and Revlon Colour Burst Lipgloss.
Which is your favourite item in your makeup bag? I’d probably have to say my Benefit they’re Real Mascara. I don’t feel I’ve fully got all my makeup on unless I’m wearing mascara.
Where did you get your makeup bag from? I actually got it free from Clinique when I bought quite a few presents at Christmas last year. I’ve had it just over a year but I do alternate bags to stop them getting too clogged up or dirty.
