What's In My Make-Up Bag - Ade Hassan
Nubian Skin is a nude bra and skin tone hosiery brand that is taking the world by storm. It was founded by Ade Hassan who decided that it was time that Women of Colour had their own line of underwear, tights and stockings that matched their skin tone. With role models such as Eunice W. Johnson, founder of Fashion Fair and super model Iman who has created her own cosmetics range, she used them as inspiration to spearhead Nubian Skin. The brand has caught the imagination of the media which has led to them being featured in The Daily Mail, The Independant, Ebony, Cosmopolitan, Elle, The Huffington Post, Marie Claire and other outlets. Ade took time out to show me what's in her make-up bag. Describe the items in your make-up bag. I do love my make-up and I've got some lovely things in my make-up bag, but I only actually ever use three things on a regular basis. Mascara (Lancôme always), MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack (this has been my staple for over seven years) and Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake. Those are my essentials. I really like my eyes, so these products can help accentuate them.
Which is your favourite item in your make-up bag? My Lancôme mascara (I love all of them) and another essential for when I wear eyeshadow is NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. It lasts all day and night with it.
Where did you get your make-up bag? I got my make-up bag from Aspinal. I went through a phase of being obsessed with their purple make-up bag sets. I've had it for about three or four years now.
