Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+

When the weather turned colder, I begun adding organic facial oils to my skincare regime. They absorb easily into the skin and assist with moisture retention. I tend to apply my facial oils either before my moisturiser or on it’s on at night before bed. I’d heard good things about Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ and I wanted to try it. Trilogy is a New Zealand skincare brand and it’s very passionate about sustainability. Their philosophy is to deliver great skincare with minimum impact on the environment. I began using the Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ during an acne breakout, mainly to help control hyperpigmentation that developed after I’d extracted from my acne. I’ve always been told by my aesthetician that I should never pop my acne. I feel it’s a very hard rule to adhere to, especially when I have an upcoming event. Mostly I do leave them alone but if I extract from my acne, I do so with clean hands after cleansing my face. Then I’d either apply a mask or toner. However, there are times when hyperpigmentation would develop despite my precautions.

After a recent acne breakout I became self-conscious about the dark posts on face. Following the product directions for Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+, I used 2/3 drops of the oil after cleansing but before applying my moisturiser. I was relieved to know that I could use it alongside my usual skincare products. I had no adverse effects, incorporating it into my skincare regime. It’s even suitable to be worn under makeup and around the delicate eye area.

I applied the oil to my face, neck and décolletage. I used the oil for 14 days and night and it really improved the look and feel of my skin. The period of time it usually took for my dark spots to fade decreased significantly. Applied to the skin it is said that Rosehip Oil can also improve the appearance of aged spots, burns, stretch marks and scars. This is because it contains Vitamin A known for cell rejuvenation and Vitamin C which fades dark spots .

Rosehip Oil is also great for dry and mature skin. The box I received also contained a small sample sachet of Rosapene Night Cream (2ml) which was only enough for one use. I applied cream after cleansing and toning my skin one night. It was very rich and thick and after application my skin felt well moisturised and supple. I awoke the following morning looking rested with soft, smooth hydrated skin.

Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ ticks many boxes - it is certified organic, it is light and has a rich golden colour and it’s packed in a dark brown bottle with a pipette cap. The 30ml bottle which I received RRP £26.40 and a 60ml jar of the Rosapene Night Cream RRP £28.50 on the Trilogy website. Based on its effectiveness and the fact that it can be used for so many skin concerns, I highly recommend the oil. It should be a staple product for every lady and gentleman, unless he or she is sensitive to Vitamin A or Retinol. As for the Rosapene Night Cream based on my one experience I would be happy to use it again. I think it would be an excellent partner to the oil as part of a night time skincare regime.
