The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

Face masks are my weakness, especially mud ones which bring out the impurities in my skin. I have tried quite a few mud masks over the years but the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask by The Body Shop is pretty exceptional

This mask is inspired by Ayurvedic traditions which is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. It promises to refine and revive your skin. It is 100% vegan tingling clay mask is infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. Also it’s does not contain parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil. It is also made for oily and combinations skin.

I applied this to my face using my hands - it applied very well and smoothly aside from a few bamboo extracts that fell off my face. The mask has a creamy and smooth texture which I really like and also enhanced the application process. The tingling sensation was not too intense. I left it on for ten minutes before washing it off. Considering the mask dried on my face very quickly I was surprised by how easy it was to wash this mask off. Also it changes colour once it s dried and turns into a darker shade.

It left my skin really soft and plump. While some mud masks have left it feeling gritty, this mask was the opposite. Every ounce of mud was washed off my fece leaving it glowing. My verdict is - I freaking LOVE this mask and most certainly be giving it a repurchase. It performs like a premium brand and the packaging is very stylish. I also think that The Body Shop's ethos of being inspired by nature has really come into play here and this mask really felt good on my skin. Anyway, it is good to see The Body Shop getting back to their former strengths.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is priced at £16.00.
