Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah is a communications specialist who works for the Association for Women's Rights in Development. She also works for MAKSI Clothing which is a unisex fashion label whose aim is to creates ‘fab, fresh and funky’ clothing. She tells us about the beauty product she cannot live without. I have ultra dry skin so Shea Butter is the product that I cannot live without. I prefer to buy raw Shea Butter which has been scented with essential oils like Lavender. I have been using this product consistently for at least the past seven years and if there is one thing I feel body confident about, it is the softness of the skin on my body which I think is down to the Shea products I use. I moisturise thoroughly in the mornings (and when I happen to be in wintery countries, at night too). What I love about Shea Butter is its versatility. I also use the product on my hair and as a balm on my lips. I tend to buy two tubs in different scents at a time, and that will usually last me three or four months. The current brand I favour is by Salifu and is sold at the Artists Alliance Gallery in Accra. Yes I go to an Art Gallery to buy Shea Butter :).
