tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara

tarte’s Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara is one of the most unique-looking mascaras I have ever come across. Before I could consider anything else, I had to admire the look of this mascara. It looks like the tube is made of wood, which is in keeping with the idea it contains natural ingredients such as amazonian clay, carnauba wax, rice bran wax, provitamin B5 and Vitamin C, as well as being cruelty free. The Amazonian Clay promotes healthy lashes and prevents lash loss, while the rice wax can help lengthen lashes. This mascara has an incredible wear-time and feels nourishing on the lashes. It has the ability to lengthen, thicken and gives lashes a very slight curl. Unlike a lot of mascaras on the market, this one makes my lashes feel healthy and nurtured. It creates a bit of smudging on application due to the wetness of the formula but this is easily sorted with a q-tip. However it’s the wetness of the formula which will divide opinion since some people prefer drier mascaras, for a more natural but lengthier look.

I was surprised by this product as I noticed that my lashes did not clump, hence I think it is nicely buildable. During the course of the day I didn't have an issue with it smudging, running or flaking and my lashes didn't feel heavy. It’s easy to remove and thus I experienced less lash breakage. I think this mascara is great, but not the best on the market. I would recommend it to those who feel that their lashes need extra care without any compromise on the result.
