Superdrug Black Castor & Shea Replenish Haircare

Superdrug has created a new range of haircare which I think is great for curly hair. It is called Superdrug Black Castor & Shea Replenish. I was intrigued how Superdrug combined two rich natural ingredients well known to naturalistas into new haircare. Plus I was excited and sceptical at the same time.  However, after my trial, I was a believer. Superdrug Black Castor & Shea Replenish range hydrated my parched damaged hair curls.

Superdrug says this range was specially developed and salon tested on dry frizzy hair. It’s also suitable for natural, chemically treated, coloured and heat styled hair. The key ingredients in the shampoo are: Black Castor Oil, Shea Butter and Plant Keratin.

When I began my trial, I applied a generous amount of shampoo to my damp hair. The shampoo produced a good amount of lather -  it’s worth noting that it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate. However, after rinsing, surprisingly my hair didn’t feel stripped instead my hair felt soft and hydrated.

I followed up with the Conditioner. I applied a generous amount because I wanted to detangle my hair with the product. As the conditioner was very creamy I didn’t towel-dry my hair too much to make the process easier. My hair was badly tangled so I left the product in for two minutes before I tackled my hair.

The conditioner made detangling easy so I rinsed and styled my hair as usual. Afterwards my hair felt amazingly soft and springy, even the bleached brittle parts. I used the products for two consecutive weekly hair washes and on both occasions the results was great.

Superdrug Black Castor & Shea Replenish is a good quality affordable haircare range . It should work well on curly, kinky, coily hair. If you don’t have a concern using haircare with SLS in it then, this range is certainly one to consider

Superdrug Black Castor & Shea Replenish Shampoo and Conditioner are priced at £5.49 each.
