Sukin Oil Balancing Pore Refining Facial Scrub

Sukin Skincare has been available in the UK for quite some time now and if you don’t know about Sukin, it’s a brand that boasts of natural skincare & 100% Vegan products at affordable prices. They have a good selection of products for different skin types and the Sukin Oil Balancing Pore Refining Facial Scrub is one of those products. This is part of the Oily/Unbalanced collection and is aimed at combination to oily skin types with key ingredients like Green Tea & Witch Hazel.

The Facial Scrub is sulphate and paraben free with no synthetic fragrances, harsh detergents and mineral oils among other harmful ingredients. It's been made with Bamboo charcoal and Moringa extract to help unclog pores of impurities, jojoba beads and rooibos and willow herb extract. I have been using the scrub two to three times a week.

I found the product very mildly textured which I found to be gentle on my skin. The jojoba beads don’t feel harsh or ‘scratchy’ on the skin but for a scrub I would I have preferred a little bit more texture. The scrub almost feels like a cream cleanser although it doesn’t lather or foam. The scent is pleasant and it doesn’t linger when the scrub is washed off.

It left my skin feeling clean but it didn't feel dry which I really like, this may be due to the fact that it also has coconut oil in it. It also does an excellent job of minimising pores and white heads on the skin. I have combination to oily skin type and in the summer it’s very easy for my pores to get clogged and my skin tends to get oiler.

My expectations of this scrub was that it would keep my skin clear and pores minimized and it didn’t disappointed. The scrub offers long lasting results too. I noticed my skin wouldn’t get as oily for two or three days after I used the scrub and my pores were minimised too. The scrub also claims to help against breakouts and although I did suffer one, I believe this helped to keep it under control.

This scrub has been a favourite of mine for the past few weeks and I kept reaching for this over other scrubs I have. I love how it leaves my skin clean without drying it out and it actually works to balance oily skin. I do wish it was a little bit more textured but that’s not too much of a big deal seeing the scrub does work. My skin has been loving it and I am enjoying the results. I will definitely recommend the scrub for skincare enthusiasts who love natural skincare and vegan friendly products.
