Su Man Awakening Eye Uplift

It is always fascinating for me when a facialist moves into product development.  Su Man has worked on over 10,000 faces so it is an understatement to say that she knows skin.  Her signature facial can currently be experienced at the amazing Away Spa at the W Hotel in London.  The point of different with Su Man however is that she combines Eastern and Western facial traditions in her facials and this is reflected in her products.

The 15 ml of product is housed in a frosted glass bottle with a antique gold lid.  On her website Su Man explains that the product is fragrance free because the eye area is so delicate.  Awakening Eye Uplift is a product that can be used on the lid as well as around the orbital bone.  Formulated for puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles I have found it to be soothing and cooling on my eyes during hayfever season.

The cream gel texture is light but packs a punch.  Haloxyl and Eyeliss peptides which act on the appearance of dark circles, collagen formation and elasticity.  Dragons Blood is known for it’s anti-oxidant properties and also helps with collagen repair. There is also spirulina and rosehip all.

Su Man is all about massage techniques so it is worth taking the time to check out the best way to use the product on her site.  Su-Man recommends the use of Zig zag motions around the corners of the eye to really work the product into the skin.  The skin should be held (not pulled) so that every nook and cranny gets an application of the product.  Horizontal and vertical massage strokes across the eyelid to help with puffiness.  It has become a mini ritual within my skincare regime.

I don’t feel any tingling or tightening sensation on the skin when I use it.  I do notice that eyeshadow application on my hooded eyes, especially the left one which is more hooded is easier.  Dark circles are not really an issue for me and I don’t have crows feet yet, but I have noticed that my eye area just looks better since I have started using it.

An eye cream is an often neglected part of a skincare regime so personally I think that a good one is worth the investment. I have been really pleased with the result of the Awakening Eye Uplift and I would recommend it.

Su Man Awakening Eye Uplift is priced at £60.00.
