Sleek MakeUP Loves Gel Nails

Launching in eight shades from neutral and light to bold and darker colours is the Sleek MakeUP Loves Gel Nails. For me, this was a new experience as I am a novice when it comes to nail polish as I do not wear it regularly, but when I do I tend to opt for more nude and pastel colours. I wore the revolver polish which was like a dull dark purple-grey shade, which I ended up liking. However, if you are looking to make more of a statement with your nails, I would suggest going for the Viper or Purplesque colours because they are bold and eye catching, whereas some of the other shades are quite opaque. What I liked most about this polish was that when applying it on my nails it was even and fine. A problem that I have had with other polishes is that I found that after using them the first time, it did not give my nails a nice finish. I found that blotches of polish would be on my nails which were hard to smooth out no matter how much I effectively tried.

Another positive thing about Sleek MakeUP Loves Gel Nails is that the formula is thin and along with its flat brush it provides a very sleek (excuse the pun) and smooth finish. Sleek definitely fulfilled what they set out to do with this nail polish as the aim was to create a ‘flawless, high-gloss manicure.’ Why go to the salon when you can create a perfect manicured look at home?

I love the gel effect lacquer which enables a longer wear and holds a longer shine without chipping. However, by the fifth day some of the polish had chipped off on four of my nails - perhaps I should have put more coats as the polish was quite thin or due to household duties like washing dishes. Irrespective of this I believe that the product was durable. Also, the product dried so fast, it was unbelievable. I have encountered a few occasions where my nail polish smudged as I assumed it was dried. However not with this polish.

When ordering polish online do not be deceived as some these polishes appear lighter or darker than what appears to be shown on the screen. For example, Viper appears like a deep pink colour when in fact it is actually a cool red.

Sleek MakeUP Loves Gel Nails is priced £4.99 which I think is a good buy. I just wish there were more shades.
