Sleek MakeUP Creme to Powder Foundation

Along with the Sleek MakeUP Be Beautiful BB Cream which I reviewed earlier, I also got to try out Sleek MakeUP's Creme to Powder Foundation in the shade Earth. I had high hopes for this product because my mother-in-law swears by it but unfortunately I don’t share her love for it. Here are my reasons why. Sleek’s Creme to Powder Foundation claims to be an oil free foundation that can provide medium/full coverage but in actuality it is very light coverage that requires build up in order to provide full coverage. The formula of this product means that it works as your cream foundation would, but after application, it’d turn to a matte powder finish.

This is one of the main reasons this product didn’t tickle my fancy. I am more of a cream foundation type of girl and the powder finish always leaves me with a cakey look. Furthermore, I have combination skin which often leads to dry patches and this product just highlighted this issue. However, just because this product wasn’t my cup of tea doesn’t mean it can’t be yours. I have figured out that the best way for me to use it is under my eye as a concealer as it helps brighten up my eye area.

There over 30 shades to chose from and the packaging is like any other compact powder and comes with a sponge for application. However, for best results, I would advise using a brush and not the sponge.

Sleek MakeUP's Creme to Powder Foundation is priced at £7.99.
