Sleek MakeUP Crème to Powder Blush
Sleek MakeUP aim to create innovative makeup that has a strong pigmentation and high quality, whilst catering for all from ‘fair to dark and everyone in between’, and maintaining affordability. Sleek’s Crème to Powder Blush was released recently, and provides yet another example of them putting their philosophy into action. The Crème to Powder Blush is said to offer intense colour with a dewy, satin finish, having a soft texture that blends to a light, powdery effect. The texture of the blush is buttery soft, which came as a pleasant surprise; a lot of cream blushers on the market have a tendency to be a bit tough and unyielding. A good, creamy texture means it’s easy to blend very well, and create a lit-from-within glow with the blush without any visible end lines.
However Sleek’s innovative crème to powder formulation means you get the longevity of a powder blush - it’s well-known that powder blushers have a more superior lasting ability- and so these blushers provide a way to get the best of both worlds. The finish isn’t as dewy as I expected, instead being quite matte, however not so that it appears flat on the face.
I tried the blush in two shades, namely Crimson and Gerbera. The shade selection is intriguing, because each shade is a variation of typical shades. Crimson is not just a crimson red as one might expect, but has nuances of hot pink, and Gerbera is a medium orange that brightens the face as a warm bronze might. These blushers have an impressive lasting ability, requiring a touch-up after approximately six of seven hours.
Adding to the idea of convenience is the fact that the compacts include full-sized mirrors, and have a condensed, rectangular form that can fit easily into any pocket. I particularly like the click-shut format, which further alludes to Sleek’s idea of providing high quality makeup that is accessible too.
Sleek MakeUP Crème to Powder Blush is priced at £5.99.
