Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm and KissZing

Did you know it was International Kissing Day on July 6th? Well, neither did we. There seems to be a day set aside for everything nowadays. Had we known about the special day sooner, we would have definitely prepared by using Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm and KissZing. Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm is formulated to not only moisturise and hydrate your lips, but to also provide a hint of colour. There are eight shades in the range and we tested out two of them - Nude Nectarine and Sparkling Rose, probably the two weakest shades in the collection when it comes to pigmentation. The clue is in the name in terms of Nude Nectarine; it's basically a nude lipgloss whilst Sparkling Rose is also essentially nude but with speckles of pink.

Personally, I think this product is being marketed the wrong way. The smell (which is amazing by the way) is more like a lip balm but the formula is more like a lip gloss. The thick goop can be applied to lips using the slanted applicator. It's quite nice when worn over matte lipsticks which we all know can be quite drying.

Following the success of Clinique's Chubby Sticks, every brand has been trying to jump on the bandwagon, well KissZing is Origin's attempt, and a good one might we add. KissZing is available in six different shades with mainly pink and peach tones. We received Pink Charming, a soft pink shade which can only be described as a "my lips but better” shade. This product is ideal for everyday wear and carrying around for top up. The addition of Meadowfoam and Mango Seed, Jojoba Oils, and Shea Butter keeps your lips feeling smooth and nourished.
