MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream
MeMeMe is a drugstore brand I have dabbled with in the past, their cream eye shadows and the dual ended brow gel and highlighter are fab. The brand is inspired by ancient Greeks, the Renaissance and the Bohemian spirit. MeMeMe is a celebration of the free spirit found within us all, they pride themselves on affordable luxury and having an eclectic range. This influence can be seen in the packaging and images for the brand, with pictures of Greek statues and mythological Goddesses on the box these lipcreams are housed. I received three shades; Coral Cloak which is inspired by Hemera, Goddess of the day. Cherub Blush which has Gaia earth mother themes and Berry Crush which is influenced by Isis, female of the throne. These lip creams are enriched with Shea Butter and Bitamin E, which makes them very hydrating on the lips and lightly scented with a subtle inoffensive scent. The lip creams themselves are held in a matte black bullet, with an embossed leaf pattern on the bottom.
Coral Cloak is a peachy coral shade, that I initially thought would be too light for me, but blends in beautifully. It’s a great everyday shade, that’s a nice introduction to those scared by bright orange lip hues. Cherub Blush is a beige nude, that’s a little light for me, but nothing a brown lip liner won’t fix and Berry Crush my favourite, a deep berry fuchsia shade, great for those who love a bold bright pink lip that’s still suitable for daytime wear.
These pigment packed lip creams glide on the lips effortlessly, they are touted as long wearing, but with no time claims. They’ll survive the morning coffee, but not a full on lunch. At £8.50 each re-application is not a problem for me.
