MAC Vamplify Lip Gloss and Studio Eye Gloss

As well as a new foundation launch, MAC also dropped a two other fabulous releases last month; Vamplify Lip Gloss and Studio Eye Gloss. I’m sure you have heard of the Vamplify Lipglosses by now, 14 shades of colour boosting technology, loaded with high power pigments and shine, with the addition of moisturising natural oils, for colour that lasts and lasts and lasts. Trust me these glosses are not for the faint hearted. I received shades What’s Going On, which is a bright Fuchsia pink, and Push Some Buttons, a bold in your face orange. One swipe of these babies loads your lips with colour and shine. I found Vamplify to be very long wearing for a lipgloss. The gloss wears well and the initial glossy layer wears off to leave a stain, which withstands food and drink (not the gloss part) as long as it's not heavy greasy food. The texture is not overly sticky and the stain even less so. Vamplify a really nice gloss, pigmented like a lipstick with a glossy sheen that lasts well on the lips. Next we have the Studio Eye Gloss in Money Honey, which is a yellow gold glitter in a metallic finish. I have to say I was a little sceptical about this one, I had visions of a Vaseline like texture that would slowly migrate down my face taking my mascara with it. But I was wrong, while it is very sticky and tacky it stays put, I preferred this over the top of eyeshadow to give colours a gorgeous glossy sheen rather than worn alone, it can also be mixed in with loose eyeshadows or pigments. We’ve all seen this look in magazines and on the catwalk and now we can recreate it with ease at home.

MAC Vamplify are priced at £18.00 and the Studio Eye Gloss at £16.00.
