MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation

Among the myriad of new releases MAC have brought out this year out they have been quietly throwing new base products into the mix, first was the Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation and now this Studio Waterweight SPF30 Foundation set to rival the existing Studio Face and Body. This is their innovative gel-serum formula which delivers hydrating sheer to medium coverage that feels lightweight on the skin. The aim is to it softly blurs imperfections such as pores and fine lines on your skim. The addition of SPF30 without the flashback, and the foundations blurring properties are a welcomed addition. All this is delivered through a pipette style dropper for controlled application of product. Although this foundation gives your less coverage than Prolongwear, on the plus side it feels much more lightweight on the skin. The gel serum texture makes it lightweight and silky feeling when applied to the skin. It gives off a demi-matte finish. Instead of a wand there is a pipette dropper which I used to I apply four drops of the foundation onto a buffing brush and sometimes a couple more drops where I need more coverage. The shade I had was NW50 so it had a red undertone.

I absolutely love this foundation, it’s my perfect coverage level - I love the fact that it is so lightweight and it lasts all day on my combination skin with barely any touch-ups required, all this for a reasonable £25.50. It's clearly gone down a storm with MAC customers because it is already sold out on their website.

It comes in 23 shades of which at least 10 are brownbeauty friendly but one thing we know about MAC is that despite their flaws they always cater for Women of Colour.

MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation is priced at £25.50.
