LOLA Intense Colour Lipstick

LOLA's Intense Colour Lipstick on the outset looks like the type of lipstick I could use time and time again, so I was eager to see if it delivered. LOLA describe themselves as being an exciting new, British designed makeup brand. Their Intense Colour Lipstick definitely caters to their professional but exciting image - the exterior of the tube has, interestingly a matte rubber texture, which is quite unique (almost edgy) when compared to normal shiny lipstick tubes. It holds a generous amount of lipstick too (4g). I tried this Lipstick in Dream Like. I would describe the shade as a light pink with a very subtle hint of brown. Initially I wasn't sure if I would suit it but I really like the colour as it lends to a natural, fresh look. Because it's quite opaque, it was able to hide the slight discolouration I have on my lips. It has a faint pearly look, but this (happily) doesn't translate to the lips. The formula is buttery-soft and creamy on my lips and it did not dry them out or settle into fine lines. The texture has a semi-matte finish and looks extremely sophisticated. It can be enhanced by bold eye makeup for evenings, or help to create a delicate, minimal look for day wear.

This lipstick lives up to its name because it very pigmented and intense on the lips, giving maximum colour with little effort. I found that it lasted for a good few hours before a touch up was needed. It comes in a variety of other shades - this is definitely a lipstick to consider if you like intense and ultra-creamy lipsticks. I also think it's worth having a look at the rest of LOLA's range, because their products look high-end and deliver a professional quality, but their prices will surprise you.

LOLA's Intense Colour Lipstick is priced at £12.00.
