Flori Roberts Signature Eyeshadow Trio and In The Nude Lipstick

In 1965 Flori Roberts was the first cosmetics brand developed specifically for Women of Colour (WoC), giving African American women a prestigious line of diverse colour cosmetics and skincare, formulated and shade selected for them. It’s a vast range that includes everything from foundation to cleanser. I had heard about this brand, but never tried anything from them till now; I received an eyeshadow palette and a lipstick. The Signature Eyeshadow Trio in Splendour is a compact palette with three satin eyeshadows, the first shade is Sunrise Golden Peach, then Copper Brown a gorgeous deep brown and then White Sand, a white champagne colour which is great for highlighting. Copper Brown and White Sand both offer great pigmentation. The intensity of Sunrise Golden Peach is good but not as great as the other two shades, it needs more building up to get true to pan colour.

The eyeshadows are housed in a small black compact, with a secure click lock in a gold accent with Flori Robert's initials on top. A mirror is housed under the lid and there are two foam tipped eyeshadow applicators (which I never use). This is a gorgeous palette, and has all you need to create a nice simple eye look, it is especially good for beginners who don’t want to have to use a trillions eyeshadows to create a look. The longevity of this product is great; I wore it all day with no base and it lasted until I took it off in the evening.

The Lipstick is called In The Nude, and has fast become one of my favourite nudes to reach for, it’s a soft neutral toned mauve pink that’s creamy, moisturising and pigmented. This product is fab but as it is a moisturising formula it will need touch ups after drinking and eating. This shade is a perfect nude for WoC and overall it is pretty low maintenance.

These products has definitely encouraged me to try more from the brand. Flori Roberts really deliver good quality products at a reasonable price.

The palette is £13.95 and the Lipstick is £11.95, both are available form their website.
