Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Blush
Estee Lauder have expanded the shade range of their Pure Color Envy Sculpting Blush for SS16, this newly revamped blush formula replaces the Pure Color Powder Blush, with sleeker packaging. These blushes are said to give a fresh rush of radiant colour to the cheeks, while sculpting, defining and adding a glow to your face. The packaging is gorgeous; it’s a sleek black glossy case, with gold edging and it has a magnetic closure. It also has a nice sized mirror, and an accompanying brush that can actually be used for application. The new shades are Plush Petal and Witty Peach, these both have a gradient between two colours. Plush petal goes from light pink to dark pink and Witty Peach goes from a bright yellow to a pinky orange, both have shimmer running through the entire blush.
I was super excited to try these blushes, they look extremely pretty in the pan, but they lack a lot in pigment. While I’m a fan of a super subtle blush, these impart more shimmer than colour. I used a densely pack angled blush brush to try and pick up as much of the blush as possible and apply to my cheeks, but it still only imparts a subtle wash of colour.
Plush petal is actually the more pigmented of the two, so if you like pale pink blush that adds a wash of colour to your face and adds a nice glow with the accompanying subtle shimmer, I’d check this one out. Estee Lauder also have the original range of colours, that are more of one solid colour, these may be more pigmented depending on your skin tone and desired finish.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Blush are priced at £29.00.
