Essie Wild Nudes

Essie have launched their new nail polish collection called Wild Nudes and I have to say that I’m really impressed. When I first saw the name of this collection, I initially felt that they’d play on the concept of a ‘nude’ collection meaning beige and pinks – but this is not the case at all.

The nudes in this new range are not your typical array, but instead they are colours that compliment darker skin tones very well and play on the theme of nature’s ‘nudes’ of greens, pinks, browns and purple. The formula of each polish is fantastic, with a single coat being enough for a full coverage. I found that they lasted well too – with chipping occurring around day six.

Let’s take a look at each shade in the range:

Bare With Me – this is a more muted pink with a subtle peach undertone. Clothing Optional – this is my favourite of the bunch and is a brown with a  pink undertone (perfect ‘nude’ shade for deeper skin tones’). Exposed – this is a khaki green shade that is very much wearable as an everyday polish  Then there is Winning Streak – a muted aubergine purple. This collection is definitely one to look out for and I’m very impressed with the way they thought outside of the ‘colourist’ box.

Essie Wild Nudes are priced at £7.99 for each polish.
