Envy by Michael Kors
First it was the bags, then the rose gold watches and now beauty - Michael Kors is demonstrating that he really understands what women want. The nail colours are a welcome addition to the beauty range and of course my pick of the colours was Envy. Described as extra dark violet, (it is a very pink violet and it is not extra dark in my opinion), it is part of the Glam Girl range. The packaging is delicious; the gold stopper top can be removed to reveal a white thing lid if you find it easier to apply that way. The brush is firm but not too stiff and the pear drops fragrance is not as strong as other nail enamel ranges that I have used. The Kors varnishes are three free (DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde ) which I think is brilliant for a range that is high end and not specifically a green range. As a result however, each coat takes longer to dry then other drugstore and professional nail ranges and it is best to let each coat dry before applying the following coat. It is worth the wait however as the colour has a gloss finish rather than being shiny. If you wear it without topcoat it lasts three days plus - depending on what you do with your hands. Each coat is opaque but does not streak so two coats is all that is needed. If you are a beauty addict and/or a Michael Kors fan you definitely need to head to your local department store to have a look at the range.
The Michael Kors nail polishes are priced at £15.00. For more information please visit their website.
