DKNY Be Desired
I can't believe it's 11 years since DKNY launched their apple shaped fragrances. Since then we have seen numerous versions released from all walks of life, pastels, themed, musky and fruity but it will always be the iconic green bottle that everyone remembers. After releasing the pastel collection last year, DKNY have gone back to green and launched De Desired which is based on the lushness of an urban garden. Rather fitting that the launch took place in the Kensington Roof Gardens which is a place of staggering beauty. Be Desired is described as a lush, wet and addictive scent for the delicious new modern eve. It combines the energy and spirit of New York which is eclectic, fun and fast. The fragrance contains a new floral element, with top notes of orange oil, tart blackcurrant and violet leaves; leading to a heart of grapefruit, jasmine sambac and Turkish rose; and a base of cedarwood and amber wood.
One thing I will say about this fragrance is that it is fresh and fruity and very uplifting. My first response when I put it on was 'wow' this thing gets right up your nose. It is beyond zingy and if you have a sensitive nose, beware. However it does calm down and creates a very sweet and sensual smell. If you love the DKNY apple fragrances then you will not be disappointed by this as it holds the original essence of the first perfume while incorporating the modern notes. If you prefer your perfumes to be bold then you will probably need to spritz this on three times during the day to maintain the smell as it wears off after three hours.
DKNY Be Desired is priced at £69 (100ml), £50 (50ml) and £37 (30ml).
