Clinique Contouring Range

Clinique have recently launched a range of contouring and highlighting products this includes a Contouring Chubby Stick called 01 Curvy Contour, a Chubby Highlighting Stick, called 01 Hefty Highlight and six shades of Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palettes. I have the shade 02 Defining Berries. Firstly one shade of contouring is not going to suit all, so I hope Clinique plans to launch new shades soon. This is actually not a true ‘contour’ colour, as it’s quite warmed toned, it should have been called something like Contouring Bronzer. This is what I thought of the Clinique Contouring range. All of the above aside, it has a nice texture that glides well over bare skin or foundation and blends well, if this is the same texture as the chubby blushers, I will definitely have to check those out. As mentioned, it’s a nice bronzy shade that adds a subtle glow and lasts well on the skin, although I doubt this will even show up on me come summer. If you have a lighter skin tone and like to use bronzer shades to contour, then this might be for you.

The Highlighting Stick is a cool tone silver shade, it has the same texture, applies and blends well and lasts well on the skin. I prefer to highlight with more warm golden tones, as this is more suited to my skin tone, but if cool tones suit you then this is one to check out.

Last but not least is the Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palette; I received has three different tones of pink/purple shades, that can be used individually to contour, highlight and blush or swirled all together and used as a blusher. The texture of this palette is lovely, it feels soft and buttery to touch and blends well on the skin. My qualm is that I would not use any of these shades to contour, so for me this is a blusher and/or highlight palette, again it’s cool toned, but softly pigmented and lasts well on the skin.

The Chubby Sticks are £19.00 each and the Sculptionary Cheek Palette is £28.00.
