Ciaté Beach House Collection

Ciaté have done it again with their super fun, vivid and chic Beach House Collection. The presentation alone is fantastic; it depicts a house which you might find on a seaside front, complete with finishing touches such as a beach ball, bucket and spade, bunting and mandatory seagull. It has a magnetic closure to keep the house closed and protected from the wind of the beach (figuratively speaking). The design would appeal to a wide range of ages without doubt. It is obviously very gift-friendly, however it is so charming to look at, you might not want to give it away at all. It contains five nail polishes, the colours of which coordinate with the outer box. Four of them are said to deliver high shine brilliance and give a wet-look appearance. Pepperminty is a light blue with a hint of green, giving an almost minty facade; it definitely evokes images of the sea, and is thus my favourite shade. It contrasts with Knickerbocker Glory, a hot pink and Hopscotch a bright orange. I would never choose those shades on their own, so I’m grateful for their inclusion in this set, to give me the chance to experiment with shades I would never think twice about. Amazing Gracie is a very pale nude, a milky white with the tiniest touch of pink. It’s a classy shade, and probably would be the one I would finish first.

All four of the coloured nail polishes are extremely glossy and suited not just to the beach, but to Summer in its entirety. The remaining nail polish, Party Shoes, is a glistening glitter top coat to ‘take your look from beach to bar’, according to Ciaté. This shade disappointed me slightly because although it looks to be full of glitter in the tube, it’s a different story on application. On each nail I probably got about five or six small flecks, which don’t really suffice in transforming nails from ‘beach to bar.

Out of all nail polishes that I’ve ever tried, these probably gave the sheerest finish. You need two or, dare I say, three coats, for an even finish. That being said, the brush is excellent - it’s flat and wide. My favourite thing about these nail polishes though is how easy they are to remove. It makes a refreshing change not having to scrub them off, since they glide off effortlessly with a remover. For that reason alone, I’m absolutely going to be buying more nail polishes from Ciaté in the future.

Also their extensive range and variety of finishes is attractive too. Each of these mini nail polishes includes 5ml of product, and the set is typically priced at £20, making it good value for money. I really recommend this product for those who love wearing seasonal shades and wearing bright colours.
