Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm

Burt’s Bees are renowned for their high quality, sustainable and affordable skincare products, but their main focus is on their lip balms. Many of us have used their standard lip balms at least once before, but they also have Tinted Lip Balms available too. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms are said to provide a hint of colour and eight hours of moisture. The Botanical waxes in the softly tinted balms will take your lips to lovely in one pretty swipe. They come in a range of six naturally flattering shades. The Tinted Lip Balms come in dark chocolate twistable tubes and possess a wonderfully soft, waxy and highly moisturising formula, with a medium consistency. The lip balms have the ability to keep the lips hydrated for roughly five to six hours before a touch up is needed.

As mentioned, there are six shades available, and I tried five of them. Thanks to Burt’s Bees honest description, I wasn’t expecting a full level of pigment, instead expecting a light coverage which would enhance the natural colour of my lips, to give a natural-but-better look. The darkest shade is Red Dahlia, which is a medium red with a touch of brown, is especially suited to darker skin tones.

Hibiscus is a mid, cool-toned pink, Rose is a warm, summery pink, and Sweet Violet is a medium pink tinged with purple, hence being my favourite shade. The lightest shade is Pink Blossom, and not much of the light pigment translated to my lips, but the moisturising ability from the balm is nonetheless useful.

All things considered, Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm has definitely become my first choice when it comes to tinted lip balms, and I expect I’ll be getting a lot of use from them in the summer months, when the coverage and weight of a lipstick feels a bit much.

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balms are priced at £5.99 each.
