Black Up Paris Brown Nude Eyeshadow Palette and Perfect Up Styling Mascara.

BlackUp Paris is a French beauty brand dedicated to catering for women of colour, they provide professional quality make up for tan to deeper skin tones. The products are cruelty free, and most of the products are vegan, including the foundations which are all vegan. I received a selection of products to trial including the Brown Nude Eyeshadow Palette and Perfect Up Styling Mascara.

The Brown Nude Palette is a warm tone nude eyeshadow palette, there are 12 shades, and you could almost split this between day and night looks, with the lighter shades on one end and darker shades on the other. There are six shimmery shades and six matte shades, all very pigmented, I have to say that not all the shadows are secure in the palette and I have to push the shades back into the palette with the included dual ended sponge tip applicator.

Despite this I have really enjoyed using this eyeshadow palette, the nude warm orange brown tones are right up my street, and can create eye looks perfect for day and/or night. There are also three suggested eye looks for three different skin tones on the back of the box, which I am yet to try. I’m hoping my loose eyeshadows are a unique occurrence because at £39.50 I would not expect to have eyeshadows falling out of place.

When I first pulled out the Perfect Up Styling Mascara out of the tube, I was wondering where the other half of the brush was, as it’s quite small and short. However I came to really like this mascara wand that black Up have coined a micro-brush, as it meant I was able to get down to the root of my lashes, and ensure I coated each and every lash.

It’s a plastic rather than bristle brush applicator, with short nibs that really grip the lashes. I agree with black Up that it lengthens and separates the lashes, but doesn’t give as much volume, however is very pigmented even in the blue shade, which is the shade I was sent, I would definitely consider purchasing this in the black shade as blue isn’t really an everyday shade for me. It’s £23.00.
