Bee Good 2–in–1 Cream Cleanser and Hydrate Smooth & Prime Serum

Bee Good is a British beauty brand to watch, they are a relatively new company that have been growing slowly but with each set of new products I think that they are getting better and better. This brand focuses on using products from bees (obviously) in their range which means that you are getting hydrating, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory products from the honey and propolis in the products. The range is made in the UK and really affordable. If you are not convinced that this range is more than a lip balm range – read on. I tried out their 2–in–1 Cream Cleanser and Hydrate Smooth and Prime Serum. My favourite way to cleanse my skin is with an oil or balm but there is still room in my regime for a cream cleanser. Supplied with a muslin cloth (which I didn’t use) the Bee Good Cream Cleanser is a hot cloth cleanser of which there are many on the market. The difference here is the fragrance which is slightly sweet with a touch of citrus and the ingredients. If you don’t get on with Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish (and I don’t) this is a great alternative. The texture is very smooth, and have enough time to really massage your face properly. It removes really easily with a flannel and does not leave any residue or irritation on your skin. Most importantly your skin is not tight or taut. If you wear heavy duty makeup this product is not the best at removing it so for me this is a second cleanse or morning cleanse. This is also a great option if you have tweens or teens that are looking for a starter cleanser.

If you are looking for a Serum rather than a face oil and you don’t like a silicone texture then the Hydrate Smooth & Prime Serum is the one for you. Conveniently dispensed from a pump - don’t be put off by the moisturiser texture - it dries down to a matte but not dry finish so any moisturiser or even face oil that you put over the top does not pill or leave your skin looking or feeling greasy. If you think that Bee Good is a green and/or natural brand, you would be correct. This serum has a lovely range of botanicals in it which promote skin health. Larch Extract and Camelina Oil (antibacterial), Crambe Oil (antioxidandant) and Blackcurrant for skin repair. Of course honey, propolis and beeswax, however there is also Matrixyl 3000 in it. This is a well-known peptide which is proven to stimulate collagen and skin repair. The addition of Matrixyl elevates this products from good to great in my opinion because you get the benefit of the botanicals with a peptide boost - the best of both worlds.

Bee Good 2–in–1 Cream Cleanser is priced at £11.50 and the Hydrate Smooth and Prime Serum is £25.00.
