The Beauty Project
The Beauty Project kicked off today at Selfridges London with a six weeks bonanza of talks, interactve debates and immersive beauty experiences. The aim of the event is to celebrate all definitions of beauty with the launch of the Hello Beautiful campaign which features eight unknown stars whose images have been untouched. The Beauty Project is probably the most anticipated beauty consumer event of the year and Selfridges have pulled out all the stops to make it an unforgettable experience. They have partnered with numerous brands such as Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone, MAC, Dior and Clarasonic to create exclusive product launches. The Salon in association with Dove, is a space that will host debates led by the incomparable Sali Hughes as well as other industry insiders. If you can't make it down to the talks don't worry because you will be able to watch selected talks live on YouTube and Google+. MAC have a special space where they will be selling every single lipstick shade they have ever created.
There will be pop-shops such as Selfridges Loves which is an edit by the beauty buyers from the store. There is The Tattoo Shop where you can get henna tattoos inspired by your favourite brands. The Travel Shop is a cool one stop shop for people who jetting off on their travels - you can not only buy stylish suitcases but also pick out mini sized beauty products from your most loved brands. Men are also catered for with The Men's Shop which hosts We Are Curls offering a traditional barber's experience then and there.
Last but not least you can have your own bespoke perfume created for yourself or for someone very special at the Fragrance Lab. This groundbreaking technique allows you to undertake a sensory experience where you use your senses to pick out ingredients that appeal to you. The test will gather an in-depth understanding of your character and fragrance preferences to select your signature perfume which is created by Givaudan perfumers. This is a real insight into the future of retailing where the customer is part of the process.
The Beauty Project runs at Selfridges London till 12th June, the event will also take place at Selfridges in Birmingham and Manchester this month.
