The Beauty Product I Cannot Live Without: Ashanti Jason

Ashant Jason is a photographer and a style, beauty and lifestyle blogger. She has also worked for Societe Perrier, Runway Passport and Slink magazine. When she is not blogging at Adorngirl, she is shooting for Volt Magazine which is a hip fashion publication. Ashanti took time out to tell us about the beauty product she cannot live without. What is the beauty product I can’t live without? That should be easy, but when I have an arsenal of skincare and makeup that have become my everyday must haves, it may sound silly but I didn’t want to offend them. I didn’t want my Sleek concealer to feel unloved as I boasted about my Lola lipstick. My Benefit they’re real mascara can get huffy, when I use my Birchbox eyelash curler. “B***h you don’t need those, haven’t you read my beauty blogger reviews, I am a star, and don’t need an opening act.” Should I go literal and say my wig? There is no way I am stepping out of my house without it. Seriously I have been late picking up the kids from school, because it needed to be properly rearranged and brushed.

In the end it comes down to the beauty product that has taken pride of place on my beauty desk, one in the bathroom, one in my makeup bag and two more unopened in my beauty box. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, which I first discovered on QVC, was technically an afterthought. A 15ml sample size that came with the Elemis Lime Blossom Cleanser and Toner Duo that has now become my staple. As a beauty blogger you get the chance to test variations of skincare, but my moisturiser choice has been resolute. A daily anti-ageing cream with SPF15, I feel ahead of the game protecting my skin against sun damage, and flooding my skin with moisture. A little goes a long way and each 50ml tub will last around two months. in the morning, it is a light cream that just balances my combination skin.
