Now we all know the popularity Argan Oil has gained in recent years, it comes from the nut of the Argan tree and is native to Morocco. It’s gained popularity with good reason, it contains high levels of essential fatty acids, which protect and repair the hair, while the high level of vitamin E moisturise, heal, regenerate and nourish dry hair. Argan oil remains one of the rarest oils in the world, and requires a very labour intensive process to extract the oil from the fruit. Usually native Moroccan women are required to shell and crush the fruit, before pressing it to release the oil. This brings me onto the Agadir Argan Oil Spray Treatment, which contains 100% pure, certified Argan Oil and is alcohol free and ideal for all hair types. Agadir was founded in the 1960s by two brothers who were hairdressers and salon owners, after they felt the products they were using on the clients did not meet their expectations and in 1963 Agadir was formed. It is said to repair and add elasticity to damaged, dry frizzy hair. This oil spray claims to instantly penetrate the hair shaft without weighing it down, protect hair against heat and chemical damage, hydrate, condition, smooth, add shine, with added protective sunscreen.

I found that this product actually struggled to moisturise my dry natural kinky hair on its own, without using a lot of it and at £24 for 150ml, it’s not cheap. However when used in conjunction with my usual products it was a great addition to use before heat styling. I found it worked best used to moisturise my hair in between washes, without weighing it down and added a nice sheen, while making my hair smell great.
